Carpentry and Mechanics
Whether it is working together to restore a donated Go Kart or creating their own designs, the Renegades are learning so much about carpentry and mechanics.
They are beginning to learn to design in 3D using SketchUp software and then build whatever they design. With some of our volunteers being professional carpenters, they are also gradually learning the right tool for the job at hand.
From impact drivers and pillar drills to routers and circular saws, we are very fortunate to have been donated or granted a number of tools. The children have been making templates and jigs, stools and tables, and because of the drama work we are doing they will soon be set to work on making props and scenery.
Boredom is just not an option.
